do people still read coding books?
Almost every day, because reading is the most effective way to soak up new knowledge for me.
It's like prepping your ingredients before you start cooking.
Books offer structure, since an expert put in all the effort to organize the material, which helps with focus. Afterwards, I recommend following up with unstructured exploration (like applying the learned concepts to a given project), but reading gets you faster to take up the base knowledge. It’s actually a great way to get into a topic because if a book is all you have you don’t get distracted too early in the learning journey. A book is focused and structured.
